Charities
The Occupational Therapy Service works alongside charities to compliment engagement with their clients in supporting personal growth.

An occupational therapist’s contribution is hugely important to support the charity in looking after the wellbeing of their clients and families while maximising the use of their funds. They support them to set goals, make positive changes and improve their quality of life.
Occupational therapists are active problem-solvers who approach each client individually, trained in both mental and physical health, this valuable knowledge enhances your client’s journey and outcome, who often have complex backgrounds and multiple barriers when maintaining their health and wellbeing.

We work with people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting them to carry out domestic, leisure and vocational activities that they need or want to do in order to lead fulfilling lives.
With each referral we can assure:
- A highly experienced occupational therapist who will work closely with you and your clients.
- A cost breakdown.
- Exceptional value.
- Clear and easy communication methods.
- An assessment in a timely manner, with clear timescales for delivery of assessment and report.
- All reports are checked by senior occupational therapists in our quality assurance team.
- Assessments in the home, community, work or school of the client.
- Signpost where additional needs are identified.

Our highly experienced occupational therapists offer individuals a client-centred assessment session. This allows us to establish the important information needed to ensure therapy goals are accurate and target the needs of the client.
One-to-one therapy sessions are extremely flexible and can take place at home or any place where an assessment is required in line with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
The assessments play a key role in gathering the relevant information needed to ensure treatment is targeted correctly. Common areas of assessments within our charity work include:
- Housing assessments
- Workplace/return to work
- Wheelchair
- Fatigue management
- Social reintegration
- Pain management
- Hand Therapy
- Sensory Therapy
