The Occupational Therapy Service offers comprehensive private/independent occupational therapy assessments for individuals, whether that is for yourself or a family member.  

Our expertise

We have occupational therapists covering the UK who work with adults and children of all ages with a wide variety of conditions; whether you are recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or looking to improve your independence, our service is designed to meet your individual needs.

All our occupational therapists have at least 5 years post graduate experience and are registered with the regulatory body Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).  

Our occupational therapists cwill visit you at home, your workplace or school to understand the difficulties you may be experiencing in your day-to-day life and what you would like to achieve. 

They will work with you to provide clear solutions to help overcome your challenges and support you in making life fulfilling including returning to activities that are meaningful to you. 

Our expert therapists provide a personalised assessment and plan that focuses on your goals and can include areas of:

Home

  • Reviewing your current living environment and providing solutions for accessibility and safer mobility
  • Providing advice on techniques to support with managing self-care and independent living 
  • Completing moving and handling risk assessments
  • Recommendations for equipment provision and adaptations

Work or school

  • Workplace assessments to advise on reasonable adjustments that may be required to allow your return to work
  • Providing specialised assessments and strategies to support children in the school environment
  • Offering ergonomic assessments to ensure a safer working or learning environment

Leisure

  • Helping with support and strategies to re-engage with social activities and getting out into the community
  • Recommendations for specialist assistive equipment to continue with hobbies and leisure activities
  • Techniques in energy conservation to balance rest and activity
