Geraldine possesses a great deal of academic and practice experience coupled with strong clinical knowledge and requisite skills proven within different specialties including stroke, respiratory, orthopaedics, cardio-thoracic, heart failure, acute & community rehabilitation, and learning disability – children and adult. She has broadened and consolidated her skills and knowledge to plan and carry out complex assessments and interventions. She provides education on breathing techniques, pacing, and energy conservation strategies, work simplification, and stress and fatigue management. She completes risk assessments and audits and reviews and update when necessary.
She is currently working as an independent occupational therapist, completing holistic assessments, formulating recommendations that are appropriate to the client’s situation and injury level, e.g. rehabilitation as a treatment method, minor and major adaptations, and equipment provision.
