
Emma Beanland
Graduating in 1999, Emma has over 25 years of clinical experience working in acute and community settings for the NHS. These vary from orthopaedics/surgery, respiratory, general and elderly medicine including oncology, A&E, spinal injury and neurological rehabilitation. Emma has significant experience in stroke and neurological rehabilitation, having set up and run a community stroke team for 10 years and was a clinical lead specialist occupational therapist for part of that time. She has also worked within a specialist brain injury/neurological rehab unit in later years, providing therapy for complex cases and working with commissioners and local authorities.
Emma has extensive experience working in private practice with case managers and providing bespoke rehabilitation programmes for clients with orthopaedic and neurological injuries. She has expertly graded intervention to support clients to return to driving as well as social and leisure activities. Additionally, she has provided client centred solutions and recommendations for equipment and adaptations in supporting a return to daily occupations.
