Carlie Whittle

She has been an occupational therapist with over 20 years clinical experience and worked within independent practice since 2018. She has worked in the UK, Australia and New Zealand as a locum and within permanent positions. This has been across a variety of clinical specialities including acute & forensic mental health, in-patient & community rehabilitation – neuro and older adult, as well as older adult psychiatry services. Therefore, she has a highly specialist knowledge of assessment and clinical reasoning around the provision of a wide range of specialist equipment and environmental modification.
She has worked in both managerial and consultancy roles and as part of national groups. She is dedicated to her on-going education and professional development and completed a Master of Occupational Therapy Degree in July 2016, for which she received the Linda Robertson award of excellence. She has written a number of publications and is passionate about all areas of occupational therapy and the difference occupational therapy can make on a personal, community and health system level.
