Albana Berisha

Graduating in 2014, Albana initially worked in statutory services for children then latterly adults. She has worked independently since 2019 and in the same year joined The OT Service. Albana provides us with a huge array of expertise in areas such as property suitability and major adaptations, specialist equipment for daily living, seating systems and postural support. In addition, Albana has worked with numerous clients and case managers in identifying solutions to support clients to re-engage with their daily activities including social and leisure activities.

Albana has worked at a senior level within community teams specialising in paediatrics and young adults diagnosed with complex health needs, profound and substantial disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Microcephaly, Gastrostomy, Scoliosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Autism, Global Developmental Delay to name but a few. Her areas of expertise include specialist equipment for bathing, toileting, bedroom, stairs, specialist seating, moving and handling, and optimising a safe home environment.

All of the above has allowed Albana to develop effective decision-making skills, management of a team, she is approachable, informative, and a supportive member of the MDT.
